A page listing the rankings of squads in DSBL 7 using a ranking system based on ELO can be found in the 'Squad Ranking' section in the 'Site Features' menu option....or http://www.hidden-reality.com/dsb/index.php?p=show&type=ratings_squad if you are too lazy :)

The predictions section has a new and better scoring system - well I think anyway :) Basically it starts off by removing anyone who has less than the average number of total predictions (those members who have made no predictions arent counted in the average). This will be a dynamic value, so the more predictions = the higher the average. So to at least have a chance of appearing on the list, you must keep predicting :P Next, the users are ordered by percentage predictions correct. Finally those with the same percentage as another, will have their score point differnce average compared with the other, and the one with the lowest value will be ahead of the other. Consequently, this has knocked me off the top of my 'rigged' top 5 leaderboard hehe :P. I hope this is a better way of doing the workings? Oh and there is a link now on the predictions page to see the full leaderboard (of those who have more than the current average predicitons).

So get predicting :) When I get my adsl back (which should have been today :( ) I will sort out the scoring system again...but I can't do too much at home with this pathetic 56k...sniff :( Also a new poll has been setup ----->

Woohoo!

The coming weekend's predictions are now up - so go do some predicting! :) Also I plan on changing the scoring system to something simpler...

That's right, DSBL7 has been given it's official start date - 25th September 2004. Check out http://forums.deathstarbattle.com/viewtopic.php?t=18713 for more info.

Hey everybody, just wanted to make sure you all know we have a new site up and running, code done by Dizzy Neon and graphics done by Cra. We welcome you all to head over to: www.xistence.net (www.xissies.com) and take a look, and while you are there feel free to fill out the "Join us" form. Thats right, Xistence are currently recruiting, so dont miss out on this oppurtunity to become part of a squad with a long history in DSB. We are Xistence. We kick ass! Any questions? (if you actually have any, feel free to pm dizzy neon, duinlas, nightforce or any other member of xis!!) Thank you. Cra

Sorry for the downtime guys! I emailed my host first thing this...well Monday morning when I noticed it down, and I don't know if they fixed it themselves or it just came back...but FINALLY my sites are back online again. Very dissapointed AGAIN with my host though. Will definitely be changing when my current term ends with them.

Hello everyone! I have just updated the site with 'streamlined' code - lol well I just basically rewrote the whole site and made it work much cleaner and better - as well as new title graphics. These were all done by Eccentric who, as you probably all know by now from his other graphics he has done, is a master at such things :) Big thanks to Eccentric! :P You should notice there have been some improvements made to the various sections here. For example, the interviews now are coloured and made easier to read. On the topic of interviews, when submitting, you no longer need to have a file to upload - simply copy / paste your text. And don't worry about adding lines between text etc, as my code will sort all that out (hopefully!). Well that's about it for the moment, but expect a lot more improvements now that the code is easier to work with :P But please be wary there may be some bugs here and there...due to the updated scripts and because I can't test everything by myself :( So be patient if you find something not working as it should! :P If you could, perhaps drop me an email with the problem? Thanks!

Hi, It seems my host had a server crash or something similar today (site was offline for a few hours) - I have emailed them to find out what happened... As such the database and my various websites have been reverted back to a state about 2-3 days ago. Don't ask me why it is this long ago because they are meant to back up every day...Anyway I noticed there is at least one person who has been un-registered due to this roll back :? Hopefully this shouldn't happen again.
